Reflective Gel Polish HEYLOVE Starlight: holographic silver

Starlight rests on a silver grey ground, so densely loaded with holographic particles that the base colour almost disappears behind the effect. Under a direct source, the set throws back a white sparkle shot through with rainbow reflections.

Holographic or silver: two distinct effects

The distinction separates HEYLOVE's two reflective ranges and deserves explaining. The polishes of the Space collection, Starlight among them, contain a holographic shimmer: the particles break up light and return coloured iridescence. Those of the Qualities collection contain a silver shimmer: the sparkle is white, more restrained, with no spectral break-up. At comparable intensity, holographic is more spectacular, silver more dressed-up.

How to apply it

After pH Bond HEYLOVE and Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, lay the Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear and cure for 30 seconds. Shake the bottle, then one or two coats of Starlight at 60 seconds. On heavily loaded reflectives, work in thin coats: a thick coat drowns the particles in the mass instead of aligning them at the surface.

Who to steer away from it

Better said plainly: this is not a shade for a client after discretion. Its particle load is such that it shows even without a direct source, which brings it close to a metallic. If your client wants an effect that only reveals itself in the light, point her towards a neutral from the Qualities collection, markedly more restrained.

Which sets it works for

As a full colour for a frankly festive effect, or as an accent on one or two fingers over a dark base. It also makes a very modern silver French over a nude ground, replacing the traditional white, and that service bills readily above a classic French for an identical application time.
