Top HEYLOVE Wow Glossy: the top coat for long nails

Wow Glossy is the universal glossy top coat of the range, with no dispersion layer. What separates it from its two neighbours is technical rather than a matter of colour rendering: its elasticity is high, where No Sticky and Dark Story stay at a classic level.

Why elasticity matters in a top coat

It rarely crosses anyone's mind at purchase and yet it determines wear. A long nail flexes, every day, with every movement. A rigid top coat does not follow that movement: it eventually cracks at the surface, usually at the stress point, and the crack then fills with dirt. An elastic top coat accompanies the flex without breaking. On a ballerina or stiletto extension, the difference in wear is real.

The shine

That is the other argument, and a more immediately visible one. The stated finish is a mirror, and on a well-prepared set it genuinely delivers that register: the reflection is crisp rather than diffuse. This does assume a flawless underlying coat, since a highly reflective surface reveals irregularities far more than a satin finish.

How to apply it

A thin coat from cuticle to free edge, or as the design requires, then sixty seconds under a UV or LED lamp. No alcohol wipe afterwards. On long nails, remember to seal the free edge by running the brush under the tip: that is where most lifting begins.

Its place beside the other two

It is the default choice for long sets and mid-tone colours. On a white or a french, Top HEYLOVE No Sticky remains preferable; on a black or a neon, Top HEYLOVE Dark Story. The three complement one another rather than replacing one another.
