Cat's Eye Gel Polish HEYLOVE Velour: the raspberry pink of the Textile collection

Velour closes the collection at its deepest end. A deep raspberry pink, almost old rose, whose name describes the result well: a dense material with a velvety reflection, catching the light without ever shining outright.

A dense ground and the effect

The denser the ground, the more the particles stand out. On Velour the shimmer gains the contrast the pale shades of the series lack, without reaching the crispness of a classic cat's eye. It is a good compromise for a client who wants to see the effect without tipping into the demonstrative.

How to apply it

The sequence is the same as for the rest of the range: pH Bond HEYLOVE, Ultra Bond HEYLOVE, Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cured for 30 seconds. Velour spreads in a thin coat, a drop added and smoothed, then three to five seconds of magnet and a minute of curing. On a shade this deep, check the thickness along the side walls, where build-up shows immediately.

Its place in the collection

Textile reads as a gradient from palest to densest: Satin, Chiffon, Lurex, Twill, Fleece and Velour. Velour occupies the deep end and serves as a point of contrast on a hand where the other fingers carry pale shades from the series. If you take only three references, Satin, Lurex and Velour cover the essential spectrum.

When to suggest it

From autumn to the end of winter, and for every evening occasion. On fair hands the contrast plays to the full; on deeper skin the raspberry stays soft and blends more.
