Gel Polish HEYLOVE Atlantic: the deep navy of the Basic collection

Atlantic evokes a winter sea rather than a wardrobe blue. Denser and darker than Train, it nevertheless keeps a legibility as a colour that the following shades in the series progressively lose.

Train or Atlantic

Both are navies and look alike in the bottle. Train is paler and reads immediately as a blue; Atlantic is denser and starts tipping towards the nocturnal. Under artificial light the gap is small; in daylight it becomes obvious. If you take only one, Train covers a wider spectrum; Atlantic addresses clients who find classic navy too predictable.

How to apply it

pH Bond HEYLOVE opens the preparation, Ultra Bond HEYLOVE goes on the edge and sets on its own, Rubber Base HEYLOVE Clear cures in 30 to 60 seconds. Shake, then Atlantic in a thin veil cured for one minute. Watch the side walls, where material readily builds up on dense shades.

On which lengths

Deep navies visually refine the hand and lengthen a short nail, which makes them a good choice on stubby or bitten nails. On long nails the effect becomes more solemn and demands an impeccable outline.

When to wear it

From autumn to spring, accompanying dark clothing. It works particularly well on fair hands, where the contrast plays to the full, and pairs naturally with silver decoration that extends its coolness.

Which top to finish with

Gloss gives a lacquered depth close to a black. Matte turns it into a velvety navy, markedly more contemporary and less expected on this kind of shade.
