Top HEYLOVE No Sticky: the top coat that does not yellow whites

No Sticky is a universal glossy top coat with no dispersion layer to remove. What sets it apart is a formulation trade-off: the brand has reduced the quantity of UV filters to a minimum, and that choice defines what it is for.

The UV filter trade-off

This is the point to understand in order to sell this top coat well. A UV filter protects colour from fading in sunlight, which is useful. But the filter itself is slightly tinted, and on a white or a very pale nude that tint translates into an amber veil appearing after two or three weeks. The client comes back saying her french has yellowed. The colour has not moved, it is the top coat that turned.

Which sets to use it on

All pale sets: french, baby boomer, milky, pale nudes and of course pure whites. These are exactly the sets on which yellowing shows most and is forgiven least. For dark, neon or heavily saturated shades, Top HEYLOVE Dark Story is better suited.

How to apply it

Apply a thin coat from cuticle to free edge, or as the design requires. Sixty seconds under a UV or LED lamp. No tacky layer to remove afterwards, which saves the alcohol wipe step on every hand.

Which format to choose

It comes in 15 ml, 30 ml and 30 ml with a pump. The 30 ml works out around a third cheaper per millilitre than the 15 ml, which makes it worthwhile as soon as you use it regularly. The pump version adds a hygiene benefit: the brush never goes back into the bottle, the material does not thicken through repeated openings and the dose stays constant.
